Too, Too Divalicious!

Lots of "looping and pulling through" the netting onto the ribbon.

It took about an hour from start to finish.

It's just netting tied on a long ribbon, it ties in the front.

She loves it!!
I think it would break all sorts of unwritten rules to run a Diva Run in anything other than a tutu!  I had a good idea of how to make these, but watched a few YouTube videos just to make sure I was thinking along the right lines.  It is super easy, just cutting netting into 27 inch strips and tying them on a long ribbon, which ties closed in the front.  The ribbon was in the dollar bin at the craft store, and the netting was $2.99 for a spool, and I used 3 spools on each, so it's really much cheaper then buying one, and you can make it the length you want, as full or flat as you want, and the color you want.  Can't beat that!! My little Diva's can't wait until next Saturday!

  1. Diane and grandgirl Darci are also doing this 5K! I'm dropping them off, parking somewhere, then heading out with my camera to grab some pictures. I'm thinking that my strategy of looking for the pink tutus might not be a very good one for finding you all.

    1. i think you will find a sea of pink on the course!
We are probably going to use your secret parking "point", seems like the best option.
Look for Brian and bubba (not in pink tutus).

  2. Very cool! I still think I am going to try to buy one somewhere. I heard the ones with the strips are harder to run in because the strips get in between your legs as you run. It is only a 5k though! This is beautiful! What color is the other one?

    1. They are both the same....I may shorten this one a bit so its a tad less cumbersome. They will wear running skirts underneath to help with the strips not going where they shouldnt. I do think the skirt I got at Target is a bit better for running...less poofy and has a cotton skirt on the bottom layer, and the layers go around, not up and down.
