I have mentioned before my Ironman dreams.....well, I have to admit to being a bit of an Ironman nerd. I get the daily emails, updates, what pro's are planning on racing which Ironmans.....and love, love, love watching them on Universal Sports when they get some air time.
Today, a new world record was set for the Ironman distance. "The Fastest Ironman Ever" was born. Marino Vanoenacker finished with an unbelievable new mens time of 7:45:58. Simply amazing. How does that break down?
Swim of 2.4 miles, time - 46:49
Bike 112 miles , time -4:15
Run 26.2 miles, time - 2:29
I hope to finish my 18 miles in the morning in under 3 hours : )
