Beachbody Week - Random Bits

With Beachbody week wrapping up  here on the blog, I wanted to share some odds and ends with you.  First up, some info on becoming p90x certified.

p90x Certification - Here is the site.

The Facts - Becoming certified is a 2 phase process.  Phase l has you completing an online Qualification course consisting of 11 chapters and quizzes.  After successful completion,  you are eligible to complete Phase ll, a 2 day course with hands on  instruction from Beachbody Master Instructors and a comprehensive P90X Certification Curriculum Binder, and ends with a written and practical exam.
The site does mention that Phase 2 is currently by invitation only, and not yet open to the public, but encourages you to complete phase 1 so you are ready to go when phase 2 becomes open to the public in the next few months.

Cost - Phase 1 - $99. Phase 2 - $399.

Why Do This? -   If you are already a personal trainer, and your gym is planning on offering p90x, you would need to be certified to teach it.  If you are a personal trainer and wanted to teach private or group p90x classes outside of the gym, or one on one with a client, you would need to be certified. Maybe you just really love p90x and want to know as much as you possibly can about it.
Here is what the video on the site has to say-

Alright, next up is for those of you into detox/cleanses, and that sort of thing.  I am not.  I'm not "anti", I've just never done anything like that, and don't have plans to, but if someday I changed my mind, I would give this a go. I mean "no fasting or harsh laxatives" is always a good thing in my book! Check  out Ultimate Reset here.

And finally, anyone interested in a p90x phone app??  Who knew there was such a thing. Want to track your reps, weights, progress, or nutrition? Find out more here.

And with that folks, we wrap up Beachbody week!!  A huge thank you to James Allen for his insight on p90x, p90x2, and Insanity.  I hope these posts gave you some insight into Beachbody and some of the more intense exercise programs they offer.
Thanks for reading, and hope you all have a good weekend!
(to all those running at Quicksilver this weekend, have a blast!)
